  • Cancellation Policy

    To initiate a cancellation, you must provide written notice by emailing us at info@tradewindsnj.com

    Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to your reservation date will result in a refund of your deposit minus a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 13 days of the reservation date will result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit.

    Cancellations due to inclement weather, early departure, illness and “no-shows” are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Reservations & Deposits

    At the time of booking a 100% deposit is required for 1 or 2 night stays. For stays 3 nights or longer a 2 night deposit is required.

    Check deposits are accepted when you make your reservation early over the phone between February 1 - May 1. All checks must be received within 10 days of making your reservation. If payment is not received within 10 days, it will be canceled. Your room is not confirmed until we receive and deposit your check in the bank. Checks are not accepted upon arrival.

    Initial reservations cannot be made with cash unless the guest is physically at the hotel and pays with cash at the time of making the reservation.

    Must be 21 years of age or older to occupy or reserve a room. Does not apply to families with children. This policy is strictly enforced.

    Reservations may not be shortened after arrival.

    Rates are subject to change at any time.

    We will do our best to accommodate requests for specific floors and room numbers, but they are not guaranteed and are subject to change.

    There is a 6.625% Sales & Use Tax, a 5% Occupancy Tax and a 3% Convenience Fee added to the total of each reservation. The convenience fee covers credit card processing costs and the time and labor incurred processing checks. Please note that this fee applies regardless of the payment method chosen.

  • Arrival & Departure

    The full remaining balance of your reservation is due at the time of check in and can be paid by credit card or cash. Checks are not accepted upon arrival.

    Check-in time is 2:00 PM

    Check-out time is 11:00 AM

    A valid photo ID and credit card are required upon check-in.

    Guests are reminded to check out on time, and to check all drawers for personal items. Upon departure, keys and beach badges must be returned to the front desk to avoid replacement fees.

  • No Shows

    A no show will result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit.

  • Keys & Beach Badges:

    Each room will receive two keys and two complimentary beach badges for use during the stay. Keys & beach badges must be returned upon check-out.

    Lost keys will incur a replacement fee of $50 per key. Lost beach badges will incur a replacement fee of $100 per badge.

  • Housekeeping

    Rooms are thoroughly cleaned before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping service is not provided during stays; however, housekeepers will knock on doors daily to exchange towels and remove garbage. Extended stays may request additional linen changes or other housekeeping services by contacting the staff.

  • Swimming Pool

    The pool is open from 9:00am to dusk.

    There are no lifeguards on duty. Swimming is at the guest's own risk.

    The pool and pool deck area are closed when the owner/operator is not on the premises.

    Children 16 years of age and younger must always be supervised by an adult.

    Diving is not allowed.

    Children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers.

    No glass containers are allowed on the pool deck or in the pool.

    Smoking is not permitted on the pool deck or in the pool.

    The pool is for registered guests only.

    As required by the state of New Jersey, the pool will be closed for 30 minutes following thunder or lightning.

  • No Smoking

    The Tradewinds Motor Lodge is a non-smoking facility. This includes all rooms, outside areas, sundeck, pool and pool deck, and other property spaces. Guests are encouraged to notify Front Desk staff immediately if they smell cigarettes, or any other objectionable odors.

    If the presence or smell of smoke is detected in the vacated room, you will be assessed a $250 dollar cleaning fee.

  • No Drinking in Common Areas

    The consumption of alcohol is permitted in guest rooms for individuals 21 years of age or older. The consumption of alcohol is not permitted in common areas of the property, including the pool and pool deck, sundeck, lobby, and other public spaces. NJ LAW prohibits alcohol consumption under 21 years of age anywhere on the premises. This policy is in place for the safety and enjoyment of all guests, and to comply with local laws and regulations.

  • Parking

    Due to limited space, only one car per room is allowed. A parking spot is not guaranteed and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Parking pass must be visible in your vehicle when parked on the property. Free parking is available on the street. Vehicles must be moved off the premises at the time of check-out. Tradewinds will not be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property to vehicles.

  • Cots

    Cots are available for use in rooms for an additional fee. Guests who wish to use a cot should let the front desk know in advance.

  • No Pets Allowed

    Pets or animals are not allowed at the Tradewinds Motor Lodge.

  • Injury or Accidents and Loss of Property

    The Tradewinds Motor Lodge is not responsible for injury or accident, loss of money, jewelry, or guests' personal possessions.

    No fireworks or firearms are permitted on the property at any time.

  • Damage and/or Theft of Motel Property:

    You are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberant, negligence, or reckless act to the room (s), motel’s premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the motel during your stay. Tradewinds Motor Lodge reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details as presented at check in and charge the credit /debit card in such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred by Tradewinds Motor Lodge as a result of the aforesaid. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the motel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

  • Damage Discovered After Check-Out

    Guest Rooms found with waste scattered around, in complete disorder, and/or “trashed” will be subject to a $250 maintenance deep cleaning fee, administration fee and/or third party fees.

  • Registered Guests Only

    For the safety of all guests and staff, the motel rooms, pool, and property are for the use of registered guests only. This policy is strictly enforced.

  • Noise Policy

    Quiet hours begin at 10:00pm. Please adhere to the noise policy and be respectful of other guests. No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise-nuisance are allowed or tolerated on the premises. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the motel without refund. Profane, obscene or loud language is prohibited on the premises.

  • Access to Rooms

    Tradewinds Motor Lodge reserves the right to enter your room for reasonable purposes, such as for housekeeping, maintenance, verify that the room, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our Policies/House Rules. Staff will normally knock and announce themselves before entering your room, unless we believe that exigent circumstances exist.

  • Items of Note

    The Tradewinds Motor Lodge reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

    The Tradewinds Motor Lodge is not responsible for service outages caused by local utilities.

    Violation of any of these policies may result in eviction solely at the discretion of management. If evicted, guests will not be refunded for their stay and may be responsible for additional charges.
